making a 7'0 fish for a friend who wanted something big (relatively) for the cove.

still rough...and the boards are tipped a bit on the fence so the outlines look wonky...only rough shaped at this point.



I struggled with the size and placement of the deck patch...it's a bamboo veneer over the 3/32" balsa skin attached with epoxy.
I think it will look a little more proportional once I cut in the swallow tail and attach the nose and tail blocks.



also, made a copy of the bad karma for myself....used some scrap luan (which blew out my rocker a bit) and fit it with the balsa.
I like the look, I just don't think I'll bother with luan anymore...it's a real hassle in many ways.

oops missed this one
very nice outline afoaf on the last two boards
im doing something pretty similar in PUPE right now
influenced from huies board surfed in the 1967 film "hot generation"
there is some noosa footage of a 12y old grom surfing this shape
i dont what year huie first did the board but the film is 1967 and the board is under 6 ft and pretty thin
