here is a trick that help me but the board in the bag when i do a full final lamination.
i keep a fan that blow the air in the bag so it blow like a ballon, makes it easy to slip the board in the bag.
specially when everything if wet and full of resin...

i am not sure id you guys do this alo when i glass with RR, i glass the bottom nice and tight and flip the board (while its still wet) and glass the top all in one go. could never do this with poly.
super fast. i guess the resin is thick enough to do it.

Thanks Revo, that's a nice tip!

Anyone else have "bagging outer glass" tips they'd like to share or discuss?

Hey guys, no tips but questions  Huh

I'm keen to give bagging the outer glass a shot today or tomorrow.
Revo: when you bag both sides at once, what else are you using beside the bag? Are you using peel ply, breather and so on? Sounds like a mission to get all that in the bag, both sides & round the rails nicely.

Would there be any point bagging outer glass with just a bag - try and get a good glass/resin ratio in a handlam and then use the bag simply to get laps/corners extra tight?? What do you think?

Cheers  Cool

If you are at all bothered about cosmetics then bagging the outer glass is, in my opinion too problematic. Gave that up long ago. A good hand lam, bottom- flip then top in one hit is way better, quicker and cheaper!
