Finbox install Compsand

Hiya guys, great stuff goin on here.
What are you folks doing with finboxes?
- highdensity cores?
- low density cores?
Are you strengthening the cavity with any materials for the centerboxes? Are you capping the boxes with extra glass? Are you connecting the box to the deck skins?(A la chinook box)
As for plugs, I know FCS have foam inserts for the plugs but what are the alternatives? H method bonded to deck skin? PU insert? Wood blocks?
Please discuss your techniques and pictures would rock!
Cheers 'sandies!

heya fusion
pretty straight forward stuff there
i put dcell inserts in the low density core under the skins
sometimes bonded to deck sometimes not
plenty of ways to do it
bit more glass wouldn't hurt
but definately necessary
i wouldnt use wood cuz of potential leaks

Right, the high density blocks in cavities routed into the core prior to skins going on, that sounds like sound advice
Gonna have a go at it then.

Hey Fusion,
I would def install some high density foam. I had one board that I made out of the EPS from home depot and I think I repaired the fin boxes like 5 different times. Just from doing had cutbacks too, not even from hitting a rock or anything. OR the best way IMO is to go with glass ones, which isnt practical if you want to travel with it, but glass ons rock.
