heya shannon
thanks
the finish is 2pac auto paint
i havent cut it or polished it so up close its has a slight shark skin look
basically i lay the paint on thick from a gravity feed gun
1 side at a time with the board level

i think acrylic would work as well but not as tough
i thought of changing to acryl cuz its more user friendly

yes i can help you source all the materials for sure

yes im finishing off a 7 6 and then starting a another custom soon
rating 5 finners with a greg griffin setup btw
keep goin back to 5 when the waves get big
quads and thruster feel too tracky and lack drive on big surf to me
the fivefin is drivier and if you can believe it better vertical pivot at high speed
also good in the barrel as well

I will have to try a 5 fin setup at some stage, i like having heaps of drive, cant handle it being to loose. Finished my board today....well almost finished it i still have to put the clear coat on but i took it for a surf today, it was crazy. Actually felt real good for a very wide thin board (6'5 x 21 1/2 x 2 1/3) kinda paddled like a longboard when getting into waves, was very friendly in that regard, but seems still to turn well too. Gonna take it out again tomorrow.

Im starting to think about my next one.....not sure though, was thinking some sort of egg single fin retro, then again, maybe i should take your advice and do something not to radical so i can sell it to fund some more for when i get back home. Have 2 massive sheets of corecell and some leftover balsa, prob have to do a corecell skins and balsa rails, reckon i would be able to do 2 boards then what do ya think?

Are ya gonna post some picks of the 7'6?
