pete these stands are along time coming

the cleanest rail ive ever shaped being able to stand it sideways is just something else
you can see the little bevels so easily
sheep skin works puurfect btw
was gunna posca some sheep faces on each stand as well

looks good, i like the darker wood touch on the sides, i am interested , is that wood thicker than the balsa? wrt shaping you know. is that time including fin reinforcement and glassing? i cant really tell from the pics. keep us posted on your progress Cheers |

might have to redo the polish
i couldnt get the the gloss coat flat enough
think i need a better brush
might have to start at a lower grit and get it flatter
or maybe just leave it for next board

yeah hunty its poly fill and polly gloss over kinetics
not sure if in completely sold on it
but i guess its valid
its certainly shit loads easier to sand
shit i need a few glassing lessons from a pro
photos always look nice, so what is your concern? that you see dimples in the sanding room? Paul i am a cookand i have learned that when you want to sand it right, you need a superstiff(hard) pad. it helps a lot! beside my trusty festool i also use a square flat machine to sand, not the discs. it helps getting it real flat, once you have got it flat, add gloss coat and use the disc grinder at variable rpm. only my experience! not real advice! thanks for sharing. but about 80 ish but with4/3 wetsuit all year round gloves boootys and hood in winter
and 5 11 ish

i had another go at the bum and it came a up lot better
so i went hand done a gloss ona nother board that was destined for 2 pac
it went down sweeeeeet and flat
this opne looks all good now except for the fin patches
another lesson learned
