Which benefits would I get if I Vacum bagged a traditional hollow wooden surfboard?

even clamping pressure over the entire structure instead of distributed pressure of the individual clamps through the strength of the panels.

I think HWS are one of those applications where clamps are A-okay...in fact preferred; you're clamping where you need it versus the entire structure. Vac bagging works awesome for light foam cored boards where you want plenty of clamping pressure, but uniform distribution is paramount to structural integrity, or for application of high glass content laminates.
