Hey crew,

here is a project that has kept me flat out for the past 12 months.

http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=AcyOhBWk2ZQ

I animated and edited the film clip for one of my mates bands, it was a lot of work and took up most of my spare time (it was done after work hours), hence no time for making boards. Now that it is finished, i should be able to get stuck into some surf related projects. For those who are interested, the animation was done entirely in flash and the editing using premiere.

The clip has been put on tape for broadcast so hopefully we'll see it on the telly in the not too distant future!

feel free to give me feedback positive or negative, i'm of the opinion that constructive criticism can only make your work even better next time round.

I hope you enjoy it.

oh i better add, that i didn't write the story, just did the visuals.

Whoa.
That just blew me away.
Really really tragic, but beautiful.
You're a talented man!

Oh my god sparrow, that's insane!    How much time does something like that take?

thanks for the kind words guys, i think it took around 9-12 months in total,
but that was for everything ie even just talking about doing an animation, initial sketches and storyboard.
Then there were rounds of revision where i had to make lots of changes to the original animation.

also take in mind it was after hours work (my free time) so i could only spend a few hours each night after i got home from my normal job. But some nights i couldn't be bothered working on it.
I work as an illustrator/graphic designer, and to come home and then have to do more 'work' just did my head in!

That it does!

And I know all about working after work.  This website didn't build itself!

Fantastic. As a beginning illustrator myself I have deep appreciation for how much time that took! Beautiful lines and washes on the streetscape. I wish you the best with it's future!
