I realised I hadn't posted any board photos for a while, so here is my latest offering.\

This was ridden a few minutes later in the waves you see in the background - shoulder height Raglan, perfect conditions for the board in question.

Agreed.

Care to share any more details?  What wood combo is that on the deck?

Maybe some dimensions - Anything you would change for the next one?

Must be a fair hike down to the beach if those tiny rollers in the background are shoulder high!

Yeah that shot was taken up on the bluff/cliff, it's a long way down!

It's 6'4 x 22 x 2 1/2
Cedar/Paulownia

For a big guy, hence the big shape

OMG kit, that's sheephumparific!   Grin

Seriously though, that's a gorgeous board.   How did you handle the rails, and any chance of a bottom shot?

That thing looks right up my alley, just my size.

This is all I have guys!

I have this problem, that either the surf is pumping, or i'm in a hurry to get the board to the customer every time I finish one....
I keep telling myself I should concentrate more on photos!

The rails are thinned out a lot as per customers request, and also more rocker than a true traditional shape. And quad fin...
This one is built extra strong, as he is going to Panama next, and slightly heavier suits the traditional fish glide.
It is still about the same weight as it would be in light glassed poly.

They both look great.

Do you mill your own timber?

Thanks for the compliments!

Yeah, I cut all my own wood.
I have made a jig for my skill saw, I find it a very good method of cutting, except i'm retricted to 3" wide planks maximum.

I'm just starting a board that will make most of you  jealous....
I'm doing a 9'0 londboard, and it will have full length timber, cedar and paulownia.
Yep, I can get wood as long as I like!
